The long-pending demand of All India Kamboj Mahasabha to establish Chair in any university in the name of Shaheed Udham Singh was raised by MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur in Punjab Assembly.
The All India Kamboj Mahasabha has given several memorandums to the PM, CMs of the states of Punjab and Haryana and various ministers and legislators over few years These memorandums were sent by Nanak Chand Kamboj, then National President of All India Kamboj Mahasabha.
We are very grateful for the decision taken by Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh and Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal to establish a Chair in the Assembly tomorrow in Punjabi University, Patiala in the name of Shaheed Udham Singh. Soon after the demand, he decided to pay Rs 1.5 crore for the establishment of the Chair. We are thankful to Madan Lal Jalalpur for this initiative.
This will help a lot of students to learn about the freedom struggle of India and do research on Shaheed Udham Singh.
