Punjab Govt constitutes boards for Kamboj community

CHANDIGARH: To ensure the welfare of Rai Sikh and Kamboj communities, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today approved the setting up of Rai Sikh Welfare Board and Kamboj Welfare Board in the state. Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said that the file in this regard has been cleared by the Chief Minister this evening. According to the orders, both these newly constituted boards would have a Chairman besides 10 non-official members. The Vice Chairman and Senior Vice Chairman would also be nominated from amongst these ten non-official members. The formal orders related to these appointments would be issued by the SC/BC Welfare Department, added the spokesperson.
